Submit your event

There may be the opportunity to have your event listed for free on the What’s On section of our website. Please note that all events are subject to approval and North Ayrshire Council reserves the right to edit any submitted event information to ensure consistency of style and tone.

To be included, events should appeal to visitors and local residents of North Ayrshire.

Examples of the types of events that will not be included are:

Community-targeted activities e.g. quiz nights, car boot sales, MPs surgeries, coffee mornings, badminton, yoga, public swimming and Zumba classes, etc.
Baby and parent groups/seniors’ activities
Workshops, courses, summer camps or classes which last for more than one day or happen on a regular basis
Certain types of courses e.g. IT workshops, literacy classes, health & safety workshops, specialist classes
Signings and product launches
Non-spectator sporting events
Opening nights for exhibitions etc.
Events of a political nature
Non-consumer events, e.g. industry conferences or events

Please note that while we provide listings for festivals, we do not list individual events that are part of a larger festival.

Important Information

Outdoor Events in North Ayrshire are required to go through the Event Notification process. If you have not yet submitted your event notification, you may do so here: Event planning and support(opens in new tab).

To ensure all listings on Destination North Ayrshire are genuine and authorised, we will contact you via the public phone number or email address you provide to confirm your submission before it goes live.

Depending on the volume of events being processed, it can take up from 7-10 days for your event to appear in our events calendar so please submit your event in plenty of time to allow maximum exposure on our site.

There is no fee to have your event listed.

Provide images to be displayed with your listing.

You may upload up to five images. Each file must be no larger than 5MB. To meet quality standards, all images must be at least 1120 pixels wide and 630 pixels tall.

Please only upload images you own or have permission to use.

Terms and conditions

I understand that Discover North Ayrshire reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to determine the suitability of any listing for inclusion on the website and to review, modify, edit, or otherwise amend the content of submitted listings at any time.

I understand that a member of the Discover North Ayrshire team will contact me using the public phone number provided in order to verify this submission and to collect any additional information needed before the listing can be published. Any additional details requested during this process will be stored securely and will not be displayed publicly.

By uploading images, I confirm that I own the copyright or have permission to use them on the Discover North Ayrshire website.

We reserve the right to remove and or reject the listing at any time without notice. Should you require your details to be amended or removed please contact us at tourism@north-ayrshire.gov.uk.
